This yummy and gorgeous apple cake is very easy to make. Try your hands at least once in your kitchen.
One cup of almonds milk
One teaspoon of ginger and lime zest
Two finely chopped apples
Two cups of flour
Two teaspoons of baking powder
One teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
One teaspoon vinegar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
One teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup butter
2-3 Tablespoons dark rum
How to prepare
Mix one cup of almond milk and one teaspoon vinegar and set aside.
Add two limes zest and juice to two finely chopped apples making sure that it doesn't get brown. Grease cake pan well and preheat oven to 180-degree celsius degrees.
Now, whisk two cups flour, two teaspoons baking powder, one teaspoon garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder, 1/4 teaspoon ginger and lime zest in a large bowl.
Whisk together almond milk and vinegar mix, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup canola oil and one teaspoon vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in chopped apple, and pour the mixture into the greased cake pan.
Bake for 50 minutes till a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, make the glaze. Heat 1/4 cup of the butter in a pan. Once it gets brown, switch off the flame and pour into a bowl whisk in 3/4 cup powdered sugar, one teaspoon vanilla and 2-3 tablespoons dark rum. Once the cake is baked, invert it onto a baking sheet. Drizzle the glaze over the cake and let it sit for 15 minutes.
