Clear soups full of taste and nutrition in all seasons


Soups soothe the soul in all seasons. This versatile dish can be tweaked for summer and turned into a light and refreshing meal any time of the day.

Soups are usually had in winter. However, a thin soup full of vegetables or meat can be delightfully tasty and filling during summer.

Choose pulpy and juicy vegetables like tomato, pumpkin, carrots and sauté them with little butter, add vegetable stalk and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and a few drops of light soy sauce.

A bowl of vegetable soup will fix the blues and give you the right amount of calories. You can add tofu, cottage cheese (paneer), prawns, or chicken and make it more flavourful.

A few strands of lemongrass and a few teaspoons of coconut milk along with a tiny bowl of steamed rice will make the same soup gourmet.
