On any romantic evening, try this rose pudding for your loved one. Your beloved would just love it.
1/4 Cup of rice
One litre milk
1/2 Cup of sugar
Two tablespoons of rose petals
Some chopped pistachios and almonds
How to prepare
Soak rice in water for half an hour. Then, drain water and grind till you get a grainy consistency. The grains should feel gritty and be slightly bigger than semolina.
Bring one-litre milk to a gentle simmer, and add rice continuously. It would help avoid lumps. Now, bring this to a boil while whisking, and then lower the flame and keep stirring the mixture.
After 20 minutes the mixture will start to thicken. Simmer for another 20-25 minute till it gets thicken considerably and till the rice completely cooked.
Add 1/2 cup of sugar and mix till it dissolves. Off the flame and let the mixture gets cool. Once the mixture gets cooled, grind it for a little. This helps give it creamies and removes any lumps.
Now, mix two tablespoons of rose petals in it, and pour the mixture into serving bowls. Sprinkle some chopped almonds and pistachios. Cool it for at least 2-3 hours and serve.
