Chinese Stir-Fry


1 tablespoon vagetable oil

1 thin slice fresh ginger, slightly mashed

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 cup water

4 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce

1 cup chopped broccoli, in bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup thinly sliced water chestnuts

1/2 cup bamboo shoots

1/2 cup mung bean sprouts

1/2 cup halved fresh mushrooms

1 cup snow peas

How to prepare

heat the oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Saute the ginger and garlic for three minutes, then remove the ginger. Add the water, soy sauce and broccoli. Stir over medium heat for five to seven minutes, then add the remaining vegetables. Stir-fry for another five minutes or until all the ingredients are combined and heated through. Add additional soy sauce to taste. Serve over rice.
