Dal Makhani



For garnishing: 1/2 cup fresh cream

Method: Pick, wash and soak dal and rajmah for 2-3 hours. Add water, soaked rajmah, urad, ginger, garlic and salt in a pressure cooker and cook for half an hour.
Mash the cooked dal. Leave it on a low flame for another half an hour. Stir frequently. (add boiled water if required). Heat ghee in a frying pan and fry onions till golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes, fry for few minutes. Add spices and curd and let it cook for few minutes. Add masala to the boiled dal and cook on low flame till well mixed. Serve hot and garnished with cream.
