Ingredients
1/2 Cup margarine
2 Cups unsweetened applesauce
2 Cups flour
1 Cup sugar
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon ground cloves
1 Cup raisins
1 Cup chopped walnuts
How to prepare
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the bottom only of a square baking pan.
Melt the margarine in a large saucepan. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour, applesauce, baking soda, sugar, and spices. Now, add the raisins and nuts.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake until risen and a knife inserted in the center out clean.
