Mixed Dal Tempered With Ghee And Spices


Ingredients 

1/2 Cup Moong Dal 
1/2 Cup Black Gram Dal
2 Onions (chopped)
3 tbsp Ghee
1/2 tsp Coriander leaves  
3/4 tsp Garam masala  
1 tsp Ginger paste  
1/2 cup Masoor Dal 
1/2 cup Arhar Dal
3 Tomatoes (chopped)
Salt to taste 
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 
1/2 tsp Garlic paste 

For Garnishing 

Green coriander leaves

How to prepare

Wash all the Dals together. Add four cups of water until done in a pressure cooker. Heat ghee in a frying pan and fry onions till transparent. Add ginger -garlic paste and fry 2 to 3 minutes.
Add tomatoes, salt, coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder and garam masala. Cook till the masala is done. Pour this masala over Dal. Mix lightly. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
