Ingredients: 2 tablespoon (1/4 stick) margarine, 1 medium onion, diced, 2 tablespoon unbleached all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon garlic salt, 2 tablespoon cornstarch, 1.5 cups water or Vegetable Broth, 1 teaspoon yeast extract, 1-2 tableaspoon soy sauce or tamari pepper to taste,

How To Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Heat the margarine or water in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Cook the onion celery, pepper, and
garlic until the vegetables are tender, about 5 to 7 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vegetables with the rest of the ingredients. Put into a greased baking dish and bake for 40 minutes.

Heat the margarine for the gravy in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saute for onion for a few minutes,then add the fliur and garlic salt and saute the for another 8 to9 minutes. Dissolve the cornstarch in the water or broth. Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the onion mixture, bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the gravy into a separate saucepan and add the yeast extract,soy sauce, and pepper. Simmor for another minute or two, stirring constantly.Keep warm.

Serve loaf with gravy.
